Many international companies are having one page for all the nations... I can't really see the reason behind this idea, but this is the fact and the trend.
I see that languages or even countries with tha same langauge might have different culture and therefor they should comminicate differently. For instance, we often talk about the DACH reagion as one culture, but I'm sure a Zürich, a Hamburg and a Vienna person have largely different culture... They have different history and different future. Not all of them are EU citizens.
Or those who are seeing the World only in big picture, would see EMEA as one. Oh, boy, the whole Europe and the Middle East. We are so very different from each other. You can see it now when a large number of MEA refugees arrived to E.
But corporations still need to communicate with us, their buyers. This is where I see the opportunity to use the Linkedin Groups.
Its like an old forum platform, nothing nicer than that... And Linkedin doesn't seem to agree me... Thats why you can not really see Linkedin Groups are the core interests of Linkedin.
There was a great question about the Groups at the Kurt Academy last week (where I had a talk): How could a corporation benfit from Linkedin, locally. Here I came up with the idea of the Linkedin Groups. But it isn't that very easy thing to do. You need to allocate a large sum of your time and energy to build up a Group and to keep is alive.
